With Eyes on Future – Fortaleza de Minas (MG)
An association between Votorantim Metais, Instituto Votorantim and Grupo de Aplicação Interdisciplinar à Aprendizagem – GAIA (intellectual partner), in order to promote the sustainable local development of rural communities through the construction of an inter-institutional network to generate economic alternatives.
It also contributes with the Agência Local Ed Fortaleza de Minas – ADESFORT, through the education in Institutional Development and also by accompanying the rural and urban projects focusing on technical and management consultancy.
Zona da Mata Local Development
The mobilization and engagement of entities from the first, second and third sectors in the region which influence CBA activities - Itamarati de Minas and Miraí (MG) will work on the elaboration of the basis for the sustainable local development of the region to create the Regional Development Forum. The project is supported by three pillars: Public Officers Training, Truck Drivers’ Co-op, and Community Rural and Ecological Tourism Project.
Aluminum Local Development (SP)
Project which, through CBA’s performance, made the contribution for the local Aluminum development feasible, with actions and associations which strengthen and/or complement the public policies in the area of employment and rent generation. About 15% of the residents of Sao Paulo live in a vulnerable situation. The project was based on the production of aluminum gifts, craftwork and utilities and strengthening the Selective Gathering and Recycling Group (Cooperal).
Empreender Project – Três Marias (MG)
The intent of Empreender project is to offer entrepreneurship-focused training directed to the production, marketing and distribution of the goods manufactured by the productive social institutions within Três Marias (MG) municipality. This way, there is an alternative for young people to generate income in social institutions who participate in metalwork and needlework workshops in Projeto Arte da Gente (2009-2010); the project also offers courses in association with SEBRAE. The initiative benefited 1,156 people in socially vulnerable situations.
